Cookie Notice

This Cookie Notice explains how GreenKit™, LLC ("GreenKit™," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on greenkit.app and inside our web app. We try to keep things simple — we don't use cookies for ad tracking or to sell your data.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Cookies let us remember you between visits, keep you signed in, and understand which features actually get used. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixel tags) work the same way for our purposes — this notice covers all of them.

2. The cookies we use

• Strictly necessary: session ID, CSRF protection, language preference, and "remember me" tokens. Without these, the app can't sign you in or stay secure. These cannot be turned off.
• Functional: remember UI preferences (dark mode, dismissed banners, last-viewed route). If you turn these off you'll see a slightly less personalized app — nothing breaks.
• Analytics: aggregate usage data so we know which features matter. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider (Plausible) that does not set cross-site cookies and does not collect personal data. You can opt out from Account Settings.
• Payment processing: Stripe sets cookies on the checkout pages it hosts to detect fraud. We don't have access to those cookies, and they're governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

3. What we don't use

No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking pixels (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc.). No session replay tools. No fingerprinting. We do not sell, rent, or share cookie data with marketers.

4. Your choices

• Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and break secure features.
• Opt out of analytics any time from Account Settings → Privacy.
• Use private/incognito mode if you don't want any cookies persisted between sessions.

5. Changes

If we add new cookies or change how the existing ones are used, we'll update this notice and — for any material change — notify active users by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.
